Create Space Program FAQs

Who is Create Space for — and how do I know if it’s right for me?

1

Create Space is for women of any age or stage of life who are craving time to reconnect with themselves.

Whether you’re climbing the career ladder, pivoting, retired, partnered, parenting, single, caregiving, or none of the above - this program is for you. This isn’t about the roles you play — it’s about reconnecting with who you are underneath them.

If you’ve been feeling:

  • A little disconnected from your creative side

  • Hungry for deeper friendships

  • Overextended by everyone else’s needs

  • Curious about who you are becoming in this season

…Create Space may be exactly what you need.

We focus on reconnecting with your essence — the truest version of you — while exploring new hobbies and building authentic community. If you’re longing for time that feels intentional, life-giving, and just for you, you’ll likely feel right at home here.

Do I need to be “creative” to join?

2

I believe EVERYONE is creative, however, you don’t need any prior artistic experience or skills. The creative sessions are designed for beginners and curious minds. This is about trying, playing, and exploring — not being good at something.

What if I don’t have the time right now — can I join later?

3

As women, we often have a difficult time prioritizing ourselves. There will almost always be something that feels more urgent — a deadline, a family need, a volunteer commitment, a house project. It’s easy to believe that “later” will be a better time.

Before you decide, I encourage you to pause and re-evaluate. Is it truly that you don’t have the time — or have you simply gotten used to placing yourself at the bottom of the list?

Create Space is intentionally designed to be a manageable commitment, but it does require choosing yourself. If you need to miss a session, you can make it up by attending that same class in a future Create Space program.

And if this genuinely isn’t your season, that’s okay too. Join our email list to be the first to hear about upcoming Create Space experiences, dates, and locations. When the timing aligns, we’d love to welcome you in.

What if I’m nervous about joining a group where I don’t know anyone?

4

That’s completely normal — and very common. The group stays the same throughout the program and the program is facilitated to be welcoming and safe, which helps trust and connection build naturally. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with.

How much time does Create Space require each week?

5

Just two hours per week.

That’s it.

Of course, you’re always welcome to invest more time if you’d like — whether that’s meeting up with another participant for coffee, practicing a hobby, or continuing a conversation between sessions. But that’s completely optional.

The core commitment is simply showing up for your two hours.

Our lives are full — I get it.

You’re able to make up one missed hobby session by attending that same class in a future Create Space program. While the magic of connection happens when you’re consistently present, we also understand that life happens.

What if I have to miss a session?

Where are sessions held?

7

Currently, all sessions are held in the SouthPark area to stay centrally located for women across Charlotte.

Create Space doesn’t have a permanent physical location. Instead, we partner with local businesses and community spaces around the city and rent space from them — which allows us to support other small businesses while creating warm, welcoming environments for our gatherings.

If you’d like to bring Create Space to your community, let me know! Email me.

The price of the program is $475/per participant.

Your investment includes:

  • Six hands-on hobby classes led by local experts (such as watercolor, sourdough, embroidery, photography, mahjong, and more)

  • All materials and supplies

  • Guided reflection and facilitation from a certified coach

  • A consistent small group experience over 10 weeks

  • Access to a private in-between-session virtual community

  • One 1:1 coaching session during the program

This isn’t just a class. It’s a curated experience designed to help you reconnect with your essence while building real relationships.

What is the investment — and what does it include?

What happens after the program ends?

9

The connections don’t have to end just because the 10 weeks do.

Alumni are automatically enrolled in the Create Space Collective — our alumni community. The Collective gathers for pop-up hobby experiences, half-day retreats, and simple ways to stay connected with the women you met (and meet new ones from other cohorts).

Create Space is designed to spark something — and the Collective gives you a way to keep that spark alive.

During the spring of 2025, I noticed a pattern.

Women in our community were craving deeper connection with other women. They wanted time to explore hobbies and creativity. And many had quietly lost touch with who they were outside of their roles as a parent, partner, professional, or caregiver.

From that awareness, I launched Create Space in May 2025.

It’s the program I wished existed — and the space I realized so many women were longing for.
